Assistance Obtaining Employment

Employment is critical to building stability, and Multi-Service Center works with adults at all stages of job readiness. Assistance can include career exploration, job search basics, and job skills development, such as workplace ethics and communication. All training is coupled with case management support to help a participant set and reach goals. Many of our programs also offer an education component.

Our employment/career pathway program helps individuals who are homeless, about to be homeless, immigrant, refugee, or disabled, get stable work. Through training, case management, and individualized employment plans, individuals work toward finding living-wage jobs that increase stability.

To be eligible for services with the employment/career pathway program, you must also meet all of the following requirements:

  • Be 18 years of age or older
  • Seeking employment
  • Able to work
  • Live in King County

Once you are enrolled, you will work with a staff member to navigate community resources to work towards securing stable employment. You will have:

  • Access to bus tickets to get to appointments
  • Interview clothes so you can dress to impress
  • Community resource referrals for housing and childcare
  • A caring case manager to help you every step of the way back to gaining independence

If you think you are eligible, you may contact our Intake and Outreach Specialist at 206-549-6236 (cell) or by email.
