Donor Agreement

Thank you for supporting Multi-Service Center! Each day, your generosity is truly making an impact for our community. We believe that we are in partnership together in MSC’s mission to uplift communities by increasing equitable access to advocacy, opportunities, and well-being. We want to be transparent about our expectations for you, and what you can expect from MSC in return.

MSC is committed to inclusion, diversity, equity, and accessibility. Consistent with our organization’s values, we are committed to providing a safe and respectful space for everyone in our community, at our workplace, and at MSC events. We communicate with each other in ways that are supportive, understanding, and non-threatening, whether in person, virtually, or in writing. Any act or threat of physical violence, threatening or disruptive behavior, harassment, aggression, or disrespectful comments will not be tolerated.

Our expectation is that donors and event attendees will comply with all organizational policies that apply to them and our code of conduct, including by refraining from interactions including but not limited to any of the following activities:

  • ableism
  • ageism
  • discrimination based on religion
  • homophobia
  • racism
  • sexism
  • sexual harassment and violence
  • transphobia
  • xenophobia

Incidents of harassment, disrespect, or abuse will be addressed by our senior leadership and Board of Directors. Responses could include everything from a discussion, restricting event attendance, or a donor’s public recognition being permanently removed and donation returned.

MSC adheres to a gift acceptance policy approved by our Board of Directors and reserves the right to refuse any donation that does not align with our mission or would present a conflict of interest.

As a donor to MSC you can expect the following:

  • To be informed of our mission, of the way we intend to use the donated resources, and of our capacity to use donations effectively for their intended purposes.
  • To be informed of the identity of those serving on our governing board and to expect the board to exercise prudent judgment in its stewardship practices.
  • To have access to MSC’s most recent financial statements (these are available here).
  • To be assured your gifts will be used for the purposes for which they were given.
  • To receive appropriate acknowledgment and recognition.
  • To be assured that information about your donation is handled with respect and with confidentiality to the extent provided by law.
  • To know MSC will never share or sell your contact information to an outside party without your express permission.
  • To feel free to ask questions when making a donation and receive prompt, truthful, and forthright answers.

Together, can we achieve our vision of thriving communities rooted in equity and justice where we all experience joy and belonging.
