2025 has been a year full of opportunities for our organization to show up for our community in ways we could never imagine. Multi-Service Center, even despite the barriers, twists, and turns continues to show up in service to others.

It was a year for MSC to continue our strategies toward shifting into what is being asked of us as a nonprofit; whether it’s changing the food bank model centering client experience or enhancing our capacity internally to ensure we are stable through historical moments.

There have been incredible successes, partnerships, and collaborations this year that allow us to meet our mission, as well as strive toward our vision:

Moved the food bank into a curated market-based space with dignified experience and culturally-relevant food options
Awarded $5 million in funding to rehabilitate and upgrade two properties that MSC owns and operates
Opened and leased 344 units of affordable housing at Redondo Heights
Collaborated with local partners increasing depth of services
Provided $30.7 million in energy assistance to over 33,000 households, with $24.4 million of this funding coming from local partner Puget Sound Energy
Chosen to develop approximately 230 units of workforce housing at the Sound Transit light rail station in Federal Way
You – our community – also showed up in record numbers; hosting food drives, joining our #hungersquad, donating your time, resources, advocacy, and talents to the clients we serve. We are honored to have such generous and dedicated supporters who answer the call to walk alongside us in our mission.

For 2026, we will root deeper into our beliefs that everyone deserves to have healthy food, a warm home, to age with quality care, and to experience joy and belonging.

Looking forward to a new year — believing in hope in our future together – with moments of joy and rest woven into our days.

With gratitude and care,
