Achieving Two Major Milestones: Cassie’s Success Story

When Cassie connected with Multi-Service Center (MSC) in mid-June, she had two urgent goals: secure stable employment and earn her high school diploma. With a strong desire to improve her future and the right support system in place, Cassie quickly began taking meaningful steps toward achieving both objectives.
Soon after making contact with MSC, Cassie met with a case manager and received a comprehensive orientation to MSC’s Employment program and its available support services. During that meeting, her intake was completed, and together they developed an individual employment plan focused on education and career advancement.
Recognizing that obtaining a high school diploma would strengthen her employment opportunities, MSC immediately explored local adult education options. After researching programs offered through local community colleges, Cassie was enrolled in an adult High School+ completion program. With determination and consistent attendance, she successfully participated in in-person classes and earned her high school diploma in July 2026.
Throughout her educational journey, MSC provided supportive services to help remove barriers to success, including assistance with school supplies and gas vouchers to help her attend classes.
At the same time, the employment search was underway. Cassie brought valuable prior experience in administration and human resources, making her a strong candidate for office and administrative positions. Together, MSC and Cassie focused on identifying opportunities that aligned with her background and interests, particularly within local school districts.
When a position became available at a school, MSC helped Cassie prepare a competitive application package. Her resume was professionally redesigned, and a tailored cover letter was created to showcase her skills and experience.
After being selected for an interview, Cassie worked closely with her case manager to prepare. They conducted mock interviews and practiced responses to common interview questions, helping her build confidence and present her strengths effectively.
Her preparation paid off.
Following a successful interview, Cassie received a job offer from the school district, beginning at the end of July. Today, Cassie is employed full-time and continuing to build a successful career.
Cassie’s story demonstrates the impact of determination, support, and opportunity. In just a matter of weeks, she achieved two major milestones: earning her high school diploma and securing full-time employment. Her success is a powerful reminder that with the right resources and a commitment to personal growth, meaningful change can happen quickly.
