Food Bank
The food bank market at Multi-Service Center offers supplemental and emergency food to individuals and families. MSC combats food security in several ways:
Food Bank Market
Food is offered in a market style inside the food bank on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays between 10am and 2pm. Please bring boxes or bags to carry your food once you leave the food bank.
- Households may visit the food bank once a week.
- Please do not arrive prior to 10:00 am, there is no need to arrive early as food items are available and restocked throughout the market timeframe.
- Entry to the Food Bank Market is through the front gate to the right of the MSC building lobby. Please do not enter through the alley. It is closed off during food bank hours for the safety of the clients leaving out the back door to the parking lot from the Food Bank Market.
- Though we serve all residents of Washington state, some programs have specifications that may exclude those that are not residents within the Federal Way Public School District area. For example, to receive diapers, you must be a resident of Federal Way who is the parent or guardian of a child under 3 years of age and provide valid identification.
Home Delivery Program
In partnership with United Way of King County and Amazon Flex, MSC offers a home delivery program. Clients who are not able to make it to the in-person Food Bank Market may sign up for home delivery through the United Way of King County through the methods below. *Please note there is a waiting list for this program.*

Food Bridge
The Food Bridge program brings a mini version of our Food Bank Market to local senior living facilities allowing residents to choose from available options to create meals for themselves without having to travel out of their own complex. If you are interested in learning more about how to bring Food Bridge to your senior living facility, please contact our Food Bank Director by email or call 253-838-6810, ext. 175.
Donations of Food
Nearly 90% of our food is donated through individuals, local grocers, and restaurants, Northwest Harvest, and the Grocery Rescue (a Food Lifeline program). Food bank volunteers pick up produce and frozen meat and other foods from area grocery stores each week. Volunteers receive special training to handle the frozen food properly so it does not thaw or spoil before it can be distributed to food bank patrons. MSC accepts donations from the general public of unexpired food, including homegrown produce. Donations may be dropped off Monday through Friday (except holidays) between 8:30-4pm at our warehouse (back alley behind the building). It is recommended that you do not drop off donations during open food bank hours due to the high level of traffic and the closure of the back alley during that timeframe.
